# Veridyn

> Veridyn (veridyn.eu) is an EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) SaaS platform. It lets brands and manufacturers create schema-driven, multilingual product passports with a printable QR code and machine-readable data (GS1 Digital Link, JSON-LD), aligned with EU regulations — ESPR (EU) 2024/1781 and the Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542. Self-serve, B2B, no coding required. Interface: Hungarian and English.

Veridyn turns a product's compliance data into a public, standardised passport reachable from a QR code on the physical product. Key capabilities: category-specific schemas (textile, battery, furniture) driven by the EU regulations; a multilingual public passport UI in 24 EU languages; layered access (public / legitimate-interest / authority tiers) with shareable, expiring tokens so competitively sensitive data stays controlled; version history with a cryptographic hash chain (tamper-evident, hand it to market surveillance); document attachments (OEKO-TEX, CE, etc.); registry-ready identifiers (GTIN, commodity/CN code); scan analytics; bulk import (CSV/XLSX/JSON/XML); and a developer REST API with webhooks.

No lock-in: passports use standard GS1 Digital Link + JSON-LD, data is exportable at any time, and a continuity guarantee keeps printed QR codes working even if the service ever ends. Own-domain QR encoding — so a provider switch becomes just a DNS change — is COMING SOON on paid plans (not yet live; today every QR encodes veridyn.eu, and portability rests on the GS1 path + export + the continuity guarantee).

Status: Veridyn is in **open beta** — every feature is free up to 100 model passports. Some company/legal details on the legal pages are placeholders being finalised before general availability; this is a transparent beta-stage state, not an oversight, and the Beta Terms apply meanwhile.

## Key facts (EU DPP)
- **ESPR** — Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (EU) 2024/1781 — the framework that introduces the DPP; obligations arrive category by category through ~2030.
- **Battery passport** — under the Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 — the **first hard deadline: 18 February 2027** (EV, LMT and >2 kWh industrial batteries).
- **EU DPP Registry** — went live **20 July 2026** under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1778. It is a **federated index**: it stores the unique product identifier + a pointer (web address), not the passport data itself, which stays with the operator/provider.
- **Battery semantic validation** in the official registry is **not yet available** (the EU is still developing the battery catalogue/data model, rolling out toward the 2027 date) — an EU-side constraint, not a provider limitation.
- Verification as an economic operator uses **eIDAS** (qualified electronic signature/seal), valid up to 3 years.
