Cookie policy
This policy describes which cookies and similar technologies the veridyn.eu website uses, for what purpose, and for how long they are stored. The list reflects what the system actually does; if we introduce a new cookie, this page is updated.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small data file stored in your browser and sent back to the website with every request. That is what keeps you signed in as you move from page to page. Some preferences are not kept in cookies but in the browser’s local storage: such data never leaves your device — the server never sees it.
2. Which cookies do we use?
Veridyn uses strictly necessary cookies only. We have no analytics, advertising, profiling or social-media tracking cookies — neither our own nor third-party. We do not measure traffic with cookies.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID | Session cookie — strictly necessary | Identifies your signed-in session. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, Secure over HTTPS. | Until the browser is closed, or immediately on sign-out |
site_lang | Preference cookie — strictly necessary | Remembers the language you chose (Hungarian / English / German) so you need not set it on every page. It holds a single value: the language code. | 1 year |
dpp_g_… | Strictly necessary, HttpOnly | If you opened a product passport via an access link, this cookie carries the permission so you can keep navigating inside the page without the token appearing in every URL. The name is tied to the product; the value is the token. It cannot be read from JavaScript. | At most 12 hours, and never beyond the link’s expiry |
dpp_g_ok | Strictly necessary | A single flag (1) telling the page that the access above is valid — this is how it can strip the token from the address bar so it does not end up in browser history or on a shared screen. It contains no token. | Same as above (at most 12 hours) |
vpass | Strictly necessary | Maintenance pass: while the service is under maintenance, this lets in whoever is doing the work. It is not created during normal operation. | At most 7 days |
vtheme | Local storage — not a cookie | Remembers the light/dark appearance. It never reaches the server. | Until you delete it |
pwa_dismiss | Local storage — not a cookie | If you dismissed the app-install prompt once, this remembers not to ask again. It never reaches the server. | Until you delete it |
3. Consent
Every cookie listed above is strictly necessary to provide the service: without them sign-in, language choice or an access link would not work. Under electronic-communications rules such cookies do not require prior consent, which is why we show no cookie banner — a banner that asks for nothing is merely in the way.
If we ever introduce an analytics or marketing cookie, we will ask for prior, explicit consent and this page will be updated. As long as this sentence is here, there is no such cookie.
4. Third parties
The site’s fonts are served from our own server — there is no Google Fonts or other external font provider, so your browser does not connect to a foreign server for them. We use no tracking pixels, social-media embeds or advertising scripts.
The payment page is the single exception. If you start a subscription, the Billing page loads Stripe’s payment script (js.stripe.com), because card details are taken directly by Stripe — we never see or store them. Stripe may set its own cookies and use fraud-detection techniques for this; its own privacy notice covers that. On every other page of the site Stripe’s script is not loaded.
5. Viewing, deleting and blocking cookies
Your browser settings let you view, delete and block every cookie. Because the cookies above are necessary, blocking them has consequences: you will not stay signed in, your language choice will be forgotten on every page, and navigation inside a passport opened via an access link will break. Preferences held in local storage can be removed with your browser’s “clear site data” function.
6. Related information and changes
A detailed description of the data handled through cookies — with legal basis and retention — is in our Privacy notice. We update this policy as needed; the version in force is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top.
