Beta Terms
These Beta Terms are supplementary terms that apply during the beta (early access) period of the Veridyn product passport service. They apply alongside and together with the Terms and the Privacy Notice; in the event of a conflict on a beta-specific matter, this document prevails.
1. Nature of the beta
During the beta the Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Availability is best-effort — there is no separate SLA during the beta. Features, limits and the interface may change, be added to or be discontinued during development; we will give appropriate notice of material changes.
2. Free use and limit
The beta is free, and the beta plan is limited to at most 100 model passports, with no per-account time limit. The Provider may reasonably adjust the limit and will notify beta members in advance.
3. The User’s responsibility
During the beta, too, the User is solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, currency and lawfulness of the product data it submits (directly or via the API), including conformity with the relevant EU product regulation. Veridyn provides the technical tool, not a compliance guarantee.
4. Data handling and retention
Data entered during the beta is not deleted at the end of the beta. The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Notice, and account and product data by the Terms. Public product passports and QR codes created during the beta remain accessible after the beta — including on the free plan.
5. End of the beta and transition
- We give advance notice of the end of the beta (by email and in the interface).
- The announcement is followed by a grace period during which your access remains unchanged and you can choose a plan at your own pace.
- At the end of the grace period the account moves to the plan matching its passport count; if you do not choose a paid plan by then, the account switches to the free plan. In that case passports above the free allowance become view-only in the editor — but remain live publicly and via QR, and the data is retained.
6. Founder discount
Anyone who registers during the beta receives founder status: at the end of the beta they are entitled to a lasting discount on their paid plan. The exact amount and conditions of the discount will be communicated when the beta ends. The founder discount is personal and conditional on choosing a paid subscription.
7. Feedback
The Provider may freely use any feedback (bug reports, suggestions) provided during the beta to improve the Service, without consideration.
8. Suspension, termination
The Provider may restrict or withdraw beta access in the event of abuse, a breach of the Terms/AUP, or for security reasons. The Provider may close the beta programme at any time, subject to the transition rules above.
9. Miscellaneous
Matters not regulated here are governed by the Terms as applicable. These terms are in force during the beta period and cease to apply when the beta ends, after the transition rules have been fulfilled.
